Admission to Postgraduate (PG) Courses – 2025-2026

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission into the Postgraduate (PG) Courses in the following subjects at DHSK College (Autonomous), Dibrugarh for the academic session 2025-26:

• M.Sc. in Physics
• M.Sc. in Life Sciences
• M.A. in Assamese
• M.A. in English

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Candidates must have passed a Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BSc) with Honours/Major in the relevant subject from a recognized university.
2. Candidates applying for Life Sciences must have studied Zoology or Botany as a major subject.
3. Minimum required percentage for eligibility:
   • General Category: 50% (60 % for Life Sciences and English)
   • There will be a 5% relaxation for reserved categories.
4. Candidates awaiting final semester results may apply provisionally.

Admission Procedure:

1. Admission will be purely merit-based.
2. The merit list will be prepared based on marks obtained in the Honours/Major subject.
3. If required, scores obtained in DUPGET and CUET may be considered by some of the departments during the selection process.
4. No entrance test will be held by the college. However, departmental counseling or interview may be conducted as needed.

• Last Date for Submission extended till 28.07.2025

All applicants are requested to visit the college website regularly for updates regarding the date of publication of the merit list and the schedule of admission.

Rules and Regulations:

1. Selected candidates must take admission on the notified date. Failure to do so will result in cancellation of the seat.
2. Original documents must be presented at the time of admission.
3. Regular class attendance is mandatory; students failing to meet the minimum attendance criteria will not be allowed to appear for end-semester examinations.
4. Ragging in any form is strictly prohibited. Anti-ragging declaration must be submitted at the time of admission.
5. Apart from anti-ragging declaration students have to submit the following declaration at the time of admission (Download from College website and Sign)
   • Declaration of Green Audit
   • Declaration from the candidates if fails to produce the Original Mark sheet at the time of admission.
   • Declaration from the Candidate for Class Attendance (Minimum 75%) for filling up the Examination forms.
   • Declaration from the candidate and parents for self financing courses.
6. Students must adhere to the academic calendar and examination rules prescribed by the college.
7. The college reserves the right to cancel admission at any stage if any document is found to be fake or if any rule is violated.
