The Green Club of DHSK College has been spearheading the environmental consciousness movement in Dibrugarh and Upper Assam. Realizing that climate change, urban heat, and deforestation pose serious threats to ecological balance, the college community has undertaken massive tree plantation drives, organic gardening, and biodiversity conservation projects.
Through active participation of students, faculty, and local citizens, the club has transformed campus grounds into a thriving green oasis with thousands of indigenous plants, a medicinal herbal garden, and comprehensive waste segregation practices.
Extensive afforestation drives in college campus, roadside avenues, public institutions, and riverbanks in Dibrugarh.
Preservation of rare indigenous medicinal and aromatic plants of the Brahmaputra valley ecosystem.
Zero-single-use-plastic campus, vermicomposting of organic waste, and rainwater harvesting initiatives.
