The first meeting of the Board of Studies (BOS) in Botany was held on 14th July 2025 at 11:00 AM in the Principal’s Conference Hall, DHSK College (Autonomous), in hybrid mode.
The meeting was chaired by Ms. Dinalisha Bora, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Botany, who warmly welcomed all members and presented the agenda. Mr. Rajib Lochan Bora, Member Secretary, then stated the purpose of the meeting. Dr. Mridul Sarma, Controller of Examinations, and Dr. Jyoti Prasad Phukan, Member Secretary of the Academic Council, also addressed the gathering, welcoming the external members and offering valuable suggestions.
The meeting was attended by both internal and external members, including eminent academicians, subject experts, industry representatives, and alumni. Discussions were held on academic matters, curriculum development, and other departmental concerns. Members actively contributed their views and provided constructive feedback. The syllabus for 1st and 2nd semester was finalized.
After the technical sessions, a vote of thanks was delivered by Mr. Abhilash Bhattacharjee, Assistant Professor, expressing gratitude to all BOS members for their time and insightful contributions. Finally, the Chairperson extended her appreciation to all and formally declared the meeting closed.
