A Farewell Function was organised on the occassion of superannuation of Dr Sonali Chakraborty Goswami, involving all students and teachers of the department. The Vice principal Prof. Kalpana Sengupta was present on the occassion as chief guest. The students presented a colourful cultural programme on the occassion. Dr Rubab Fatema Nomani , Asst Professor of the department , delivered a speech outlining the biography of Dr Sonali Goswami. She also read out the messages sent from different parts of the country, by old Students of the dept, for Dr Goswami .The HOD , Dr Jaishree Konwarh delivered an emotional speech on the occassion, praising Dr Goswami on various counts.
