A unique mix of 4 different occassions( owing to the ongoing covid pandemic) , culminated into an interesting programme at the Srimanta Sankardev Sabhakakhya today. The former head of the dept of Economics, Dr Atikuddin Ahmed graced the occassion as chief guest.The present HOD, Dr Partha Ganguly praised and remembered Dr Jaishree Konwarh's immense contributions towards the dept.Her sincerity and devotion towards the dept will always be remembered, he said. Students and teachers of the department gave a warm welcome to the students of 1 st semester, 2020, and to the new teachers Ms Pollypriya Buragohain and Ms Mayuri Dutta. Dr Jaishree Konwarh was bid a tearful farewell on the occassion of her superannuation. The outgoing 6 th sem Students were also given an emotional goodbye by the juniors. Dr Atikuddin Ahmed exhaulted the students and teachers to keep up the good name of the department. He asked the students to be sincere, punctual and diligent .
