A guest lecture was organised by the Department on 30/04/2022. Dr. Pranjal Protim Buragohain, Associate Professor and Head, Department of Economics, Dibrugarh University delivered a talk on "Community and its Role in Economic Development".The session was inaugurated by the Principal Dr. Sashi Kanta Saikia. The Vice-Principal, Dr. Priyadev Goswami, the co-coordinator of IQAC of the college, Dr Mridul Sharma and the Academic co-ordinator of the college, Dr Ananta Kumar Dutta and teachers and students of the Department were present in the session.
Dr. Pranjal Protim Buragohain explained the importance of co-operation for efficient allocation of resources.He further elaborated on the importance of "Trust" as a social capital and explained the Prisoner's Dilemma in the context.
The Talk was followed by an interesting Interactive session in which the students raised several pertinent points and questions.
