A Guest lecture was organised by the Department on 24/08/2022. Archana Sharma, Prof. and Former head of Department of Economics, Gauhati University delivered a talk on " Environmental Degradation and it's impact on the Health Economy". The session was inaugurated by the Principal, Dr. Sashi Kanta Saikia. She talked about several aspects of environmental degradation and it's consequences and how it is impacting negatively the health economy. She also talked about how environmental degradation can be reduced without affecting the growth of the economy. The session was very interesting. It was followed by active participation and interaction of all the students of the department.
