Celebration of International Daughter's Day(25th Septembar,2022)The department of Sociology DHSK College with the collaboration of Municipality Board, Dibrugarh observed International Daughters Day on Sunday,25th September 2022 at ward no 18 near Sani Mandir,Graham Bazar. The programme was inaugurated by Dr. Sultana Hazarika, retired professor of DHSK college. The Chief Guest was De Saikat Patra (Chairperson of Municipality Board). Dr. Priya Dev Goswami (Vice-principal of DHSK college),Dr Ananta Kumar Dutta (academic coordinator of DHSK college),Mr. Gautam Dutta(Ward Commissioner),Mrs.Nirupa Dutta (Ward Commissioner), Mrs. Kanika Mazumdar Bordoloi (Ward Commissioner), Simanta Boruah (ward Commissioner) were distinguished personalities present at the event.
The objective of the event was to spread awareness about equality, equal opportunity, rights and privilege of the girl child. For this purpose, students of Department of Sociology performed a street play, scripted and directed by Mr. Ratul Baishya ( Theater Activist ).
