8th September was celebrated to commemorate the 97th Birth Anniversary of Dr. Bhupen Hazarika. The Head of the Department, Ms. Aditi Konwar Gogoi delivered the welcome address. A talk was delivered by Dr. Monmi Baruah regarding the significance of his songs. Two of the faculties, Dr. Trishna Duarah Kalita, Ms. Hanifa Rahman, Dr. Rubab Nomani and students from different semesters from the Dept payed tribute to him by performing few of his songs. The vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Lulu M Boragohain.
