The Department of Mathematics, DHSK College, Dibrugarh, Assam organized a State Level Workshop on Matlab Based on the CBCS Syllabus of Under Graduate Course on December 04, 2021. The workshop was convened by Dr. Amitav Doley, Assistant Professor, DHSK College and inaugurated by Mr. Abhimanyu Baruah, President, Governing Body, DHSK College. Dr. Devanjan Hazarika, Head, Department of Mathematics, DHSK College delivered the welcome address. Dr. Mridul Sarma, Coordinator, IQAC, DHSK College was also attended the inaugural ceremony and delivered a lecture on the importance of computer knowledge and technology in present days. Prof. Gopal Chandra Hazarika was the resource person of the workshop who was introduced by Dr. Priya Dev Goswami, Vice-Principal, DHSK College. The main objective of the course was to give an orientation to teachers about how to programmatically solve the problems listed in “Practiacl List” of the CBCS Syllabus of 3rd and 4th Semester under Dibrugarh University by using MATLAB. This initiative brought together almost 110 participants (teachers and students) from different colleges viz. DHSK College, Majuli College, Gorgaon College, Silapathar College, Dibru College, Digboi College etc. In the first technical session, Prof. Gopal Chandra Hazarika showed the solutions of almost all problems listed in “Practiacl List” of the CBCS Syllabus of 3rd and 4th Semester under Dibrugarh University, by doing programme using MATLAB. In the second technical session, all the participants were practically taught how to programmatically solve a problem using MATLAB. The programme ended by the speech of Dr. Ananta Kumar Dutta, Associate Professor, Department of Mathematics, DHSK College. In his speech he offered the “Vote of Thanks”. In addition, every participant was issued a feedback form. All participants responded to the feedback form and appreciated the workshop.
