DHSK College, Dibrugarh organised a Lecture programme on the topic of “Áë×Âò¿ÂõÑú ú¿îÂßÁ±1 Õü÷î ü±¿ýÃÃîÂÉ äÂäÂDZ Õ±1n¸ Õü÷ ¿Âõø¸ûþßÁ ¢¶Lš1 Û¿é ü÷ώ±RßÁ Î1ýÃÃ-1+Âó” on on 19th February,2024 from 10.30 am to 12 noon at Srimanta Sankardev Sabhaka- kshya. The programme was hosted by the department of Assamese, DHSK College. The lecture programme was successfully completed with presence of a large number of participation from students, faculty members of the college and distinguished guest Dr. S.K. Saikia, Principal; Dr Anupjyoti Bharali, Coordinator, IQAC and Chief Guest cum Invited Speaker Dr. Surjyakanta Hazarika, President, Asam Sahitya Sabha. Mrs Anjumoni Phukan, Head of the Department of the Assamese presided over the event and delivered the keynotes address. Dr. S.K. Saikia, Principal welcomed all with a lucid speech and spoke about the importance of Renaissance of the 19th century of Assam and Assamese literature. Dr. Surjyakanta Hazarika, President of Asam Sahitya Sabha highlighted on the core topic. He spoke about the objectives and importance of the 19th century literature and the increasing demand for education that formed a notable feature of Assamese Renaissance of the 19th century. The invited speaker has answered many questions of the audience in an interactive session followed his lecture. Overall, the programme was vibrant success.
