DHSK College, Dibrugarh has recently organized International Mother Lan -guage Day on 21st February, 2024 from 10.30 am to 12 noon at Srimanta Sankardev Sabhaka-kakshya. The event was hosted jointly by the department of Assamese and department of Bengali, DHSK College. The event was successfully completed with presence of a large number of participants from students, faculty members of the college and distinguished guest Dr. S.K. Saikia, Principal, Dr Anupjyoti Bharali, Coordinator, IQAC, Dr. Priyadev Goswami, Vice Principal and Dr. Mridul Sarma, Academic Coordinator. Dr. Reeta Poddar, Head of the Department of the Bengali highlighted aim and objective of the Day and said that Assam is home to various languages and dialects which make its linguistic and cultural diversity the most unique in the world. Dr. S.K. Saikia, Principal welcomed all with a lucid speech and spoke about the awareness of linguistic and cultural diversity. Large number of student has participated and shared their opinion. Overall, the programme was vibrant success.
