A socio-economic field survey on socio economic status of indigeneous communities was conducted by the department at Mariani of Jorhat on 20th february, 2024. It entailed house to house visit with a pre tested schedule in the semi urban areas of Mariani. A total of 117 students along with two teachers went for the trip. Later the students, under the guidance of the teachers submitted reports on the survey.
