World Anthropology Day,2024 was celebrated by the Dept of Anthropology of MoU partner colleges namely D.H.SK College, Dibru College and NLB City College, Dibrugarh. The primary objective of World Anthropology Day, 2024 is to raise awareness about anthropology’s relevance in addressing contemporary challenges. The day also aims to promote diversity and inclusion within the field of anthropology. To celebrate World Anthropology Day on 15 February 2024. at DHSK College a lecture programme was organised. Dr. Jonali Devi former Dean, i.e. Human and Social Science and former Head and Associate Professor, Dept. of Anthropology, Cotton University was invited to deliver a lecture on “Traditional Knowledge and Its Relevance in the Contemporary World." A state level Students’ seminar has also been organised where students of Dept. of Anthropology DHSK College, Dibru College and NLB City College, Dibrugarh district and Margherita College of Tinsukia district participated. Dr.Jonali Devi chaired the seminar. The topic of the seminar was " Contemporary Anthropological Study: From the Students’ Perspective."
