In acknowledgement of the profound importance of understanding Down syndrome, the most common genetic chromosomal disorder, the department of Anthropology of DHSK College organised a seminar on Down syndrome on 29.09.2023 at Srimanta Sankardev Sabhakakhya of DHSK College. The academic event was graced by the presence of Giriraj Kusre, a distinguished cytogeneticist hailing from the Department of Anatomy at Assam Medical College. The seminar was attended by hundreds of students and faculty of the college. Following the seminar, the UG & PG students were shown karyotype of Down syndrome patients in high powered microscope at the Central Instrumentation Facility of the college.
