The Department of Assamese, DHSK College, observed the Birth Centenary of eminent Assamese poet and writer Navakanta Barua with due respect and enthusiasm. The programme was inaugurated by renowned poet Dr. Pranoy Phukan. Prof. Pranjit Bora attended the programme as the resource person and delivered an insightful lecture on the life, literary contributions, and legacy of Navakanta Barua. The programme aimed to pay tribute to the legendary literary figure and to familiarise students with his invaluable contributions to Assamese literature. The event concluded with an appreciation of his enduring influence on Assamese literary and cultural traditions.
