The DHSK College Girls’ Hostel Building foundation stone was laid by Late Bishnu Ram Medhi , the then Chief Minister of Assam on 22nd May, 1957. The Girls’ Hostel has celebrated its diamond jubilee on 20th January, 2018.
The DHSK Girls’ Hostel provides safe and comfortable accommodation to over 123 students including PG students within College Campus. It has 27 rooms and other facilities including dining Hall, Visitors lounge cum Assembly Hall is fairly equipped with LED TV, Music System, News Papers, Monthly Magazine, Wi-Fi connection Computer and Biometric attendance machine and CCTV Surveillance at the entrance for safety measures as well as pure drinking water system . Construction of an up-to-date two storey new Girls’ Hostel building with accommodation for around 50 Girl is nearing completion.
The DHSK College Girls’ hostel has been providing a residential educational atmosphere to rural as well as urban girls’ students in and around the state. The College Authority and Girls Hostel Management committee as well as teaching and non- teaching staff has always concerned about the all round development of the Hostel Boarders.
